Berlin cafe goodbye
Before heading home to Sheffield, we bid fond farewell to Berlin and the rest of Central Europe at cafe with our friend Helene.

The Wall
We found a big wall in the middle of Berlin. Dad said it was famous, and it prevented people moving about the city.
I tried to climb up the wall with Bill's help, but I can see why it was so successful - it was too tall for pandas and platypuses to climb over.
After our day of seeing the wall, we took a subway ride back to our hostel.

Inside the Reichstag Dome
Bill and I waited in line for hours to see the inside of the Reichstag Dome in Berlin. It was very pretty on the inside, and Bill could see his reflection in all the mirrors in the center.

Night train to Berlin
For a change, we took a sleeper train to Berlin.
It was nice having our own bunk bed to sleep in. It was a comfy and easy way to travel between cities.
Out and about in Krakow
Eventually we got bored and decided to go see the city. We found a cute cafe to have lunch in.
We also went to an internet cafe to check on any comments on our blog.

Watching the Olympics
In Krakow we spent a lot of time in the flat watching the olympics on TV.
We couldn't see much of the Australian or Chinese teams, but we did see a lot of the European teams on the TV.
I was unimpressed by how slow all the swimmers were, because I can swim much faster.

At the zoo
Strange Panda spotted a lesser red panda up in a tree, but he couldn't believe they were related because of the color difference.
SP also got to see a sleeping baby panda. He said he couldn't remember being that small or sleeping that much.
Unfortunately there were no platypuses in the zoo, so I had to settle for seeing my next-closest relative, the duck.
Headed to the zoo
I was really excited, as we went to the zoo in Vienna to see some pandas plus some other less important animals.
Bill wasn't nearly as excited and actually ate some lunch in the park, which I forgot to do.

Train to Vienna
When we took a train to Vienna, we had a hard time seeing out the window until we stood on the backpack.
The train ride took a long time so we had to keep each other company during it.

Ljubljana Castle
Mom went back to England, so Dad, SP, and I hiked up to the top of Ljubljana Castle. However, it was very steep and I got tired on the way.
Another picture of me resting.
Eventually we reach the top of the castle hill and we got a good view of the whole city.
We took a different route down the mountain, which went close to some houses, but was also steep.

Exploring Ljubljana
Ljubljana had a lovely city center with many bridges.
We took some time to start reading a new novel about sheep.
Our room was one of the largest and cleanest of the trip - so of course we made it a big mess.
Train to Ljubljana
We had a couple hour train ride to Ljubljana from Zagreb, so we looked out the window at the scenery the whole time.
Mom was listening to music but I couldn't hear it.
Bill did some sort of a comedy show while we were on the train.
Then we did a bit of a circus act to keep ourselves occupied too.
It's important to stay hydrated during train rides too, even if it is not to hot.

Fun in Zagreb
Zagreb has many cafes, so while I had a coffee, Bill looked through the guidebook for tourist sites.
Here's Dad posing for a picture with us in our room in Zagreb.

Bear friends
On the bus ride from Split to Zagreb, we stopped off at a rest stop and saw some cute bear cub friends. They are a bit darker colored than me.

Fun on the Bol beach
Dad took SP and I to Bol beach, on the other side of the island. We had to ride a bus to get there.
There were lots of tourist boats located on Bol beach.
This beach was like lots of little pebbles and they got really hot, so we stayed on the lunch bag to keep from burning our toes.
